Solskjaer to stay at the helm, Pogba may be out for a while

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to remain the manager for Manchester United, despite the rumors (and calls) to the contrary. Following the recent management exits at both Norwich and Aston Villa, rumors ran rampant about the future of Solskjaer with the Red Devils.

And who can blame the fans for the want of change? Solskjaer has already tallied six losses in their first 12 games for the season, none more painful than last week’s thumping by neighbors Man City. The former United player has already met with Ed Woodward after the embarrassing home loss, but no indications have been made to point to an early exit by the Norwegian.

Certainly Solskjaer and Co. realize that they are walking a very thin rope. He could find himself on the chopping block, sooner rather than later, considering the toothless United performances this season. The club is traveling to Watofrd this weekend and a performance by the team could extend Solskjaer’s stay at Old Trafford for a bit. Gossip around the stadium is that Ole will remain with Man Utd until at leas the winter break, barring disastrous results until then.

Meanwhile Paul Pogba is hardly helping Solskjaer, the midfielder suffering a thigh injury during training for the French national this week. According to the local physio reports, Pogba could miss anywhere from six to eight weeks, making him unavailable for Manchester United during this crucial time. United are yet to undergo their own assessment of the French midfielder’s injury, but things are not looking right at Old Trafford.
