Pochettino in the lead for new manager

Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino is willing to take over Manchester United now, if the two teams manage to agree on his release, according to several media in England. This morning, most leading newspapers reported that he was the most desired candidate for the post of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was fired yesterday and after Zinedine Zidane’s refusal to come to Old Trafford. The Argentine was also the number one candidate for the post in December 2018, when Jose Mourinho was fired, but the Red Devils later appointed Solskjaer first as a temporary coach until the end of the season, and later he received a permanent contract. It is these events, as well as the criticism of the PSG style of play, that are some of the reasons that could currently persuade Pochettino to change Paris for Manchester.

The Argentine’s family also continues to be based in London, while he lives in a hotel in Paris and is unhappy with the situation. The coach is not impressed by the atmosphere in the locker room of the team, where there is a great struggle between the several big stars of the team, who are fighting for a dominant position. The management of Manchester United has already contacted him and initial talks have been held, and he has agreed in principle to arrive at Old Trafford, the media added.

PSG blocked his desire to return at the helm of Tottenham in the summer, but so far they are not satisfied with the performance of Parisians and are likely to be ready to release him if they can agree on his compensation with Manchester and Zinedine Zidane expressed readiness to replaced it at the Parc des Princes. At the moment, Manchester United is led by Michael Carrick, who is a temporary option until a new person is found to lead the team.
